Law Admission Test (LAT) Criteria in Pakistan
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum qualification: Intermediate (HSSC) / F.A, F.Sc, ICS or equivalent.
- Students awaiting for intermediate results can also apply.
- No age limit for LAT applicants.
Test Structure:
- Total LAT Marks: 100
- LAT Passing Marks: 50
- Duration for LAT: 2 hours
Sections & Marks Distribution:
- Essay (English or Urdu) - 15 Marks
- Personal Statement - 10 Marks
- MCQs from English - 20 Marks
- MCQs from General Knowledge - 20 Marks
- MCQs from Islamic Studies - 10 Marks
- MCQs from Pakistan Studies - 10 Marks
- MCQs from Urdu - 10 Marks
- MCQs from Math - 5 Marks
Additional Details:
The Law Admission Test (LAT) is held / administered by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Pakistan. The test is required / compulsory for students seeking admission to a 5-year LLB program. Passing the LAT with at least 50% score is mandatory for law school admissions in Pakistan.
